In today’s episode we’ll be discussing Graviteam Tactics : Mius Front. This simulation is one of the most detailed company-platoon level war games on the market. It features a tactical and an operational level that really set it apart.
My guests for today’s show is Phi230 and TortugaPower.
The game is available on Steam for $35 and, while it has a steep learning curve, is well worth the money for anyone into war games.
In Episode #4 we discuss the real time pause-able WW2 game Panther Games Command Ops 2. My guest for this show is YouTuber TortugaPower. This game has one of the most innovative AI systems where instead of you micro-managing the units all you have to do is give an order to an HQ and watch as it’s executed intelligently. Plans can be coordinated, combined arms teams form, and artillery flies, all on a divisional scale with just a few clicks.
The game is available on Steam for the whopping price of $0. This comes with 4 missions. Scenario packs cover anywhere from Arnhem to Germany 1945 and are about $30.
In Episode #3 we discuss the NWS Wargaming Classic Rule The Waves. My guest for this show is The Happy Hedonist. This game is a masterclass in innovative design and fun game play that trumps those little details like UI design or modern flow. All kidding aside it really is a great game, as long as you know what you’re getting into. On one hand it’s a naval design simulator and on the other hand a fairly detailed pre-carrier era combat simulator.
You get to be your own Jackie Fisher and take a navy of your choice through the pre-dreadnought era all the way through the 1920’s.
An audio artifact created some distortion. This episode might be a bit crunchy. Episode 4 is back on path with the smoothness.
